Lifestyle: New Year, New Beginnings, New You. What's Your New Year Resolution?

Happy New Year Everyone, Wishing you all love, joy, and happiness this new year. I know we hear this word a lot "New Year, New Me, New Beginnings" and it sounds so cliche, because many people say stuff like that and still remain the same, sadly we can't blame them because some people find it difficult to break a cycle. However, we must always strive to be better than we were yesterday and seek ways to improve to be able to do better and be better.
Try to take time out and sit down and prepare a list of important lifestyle changes you want to make, yes I know the majority of people fail to stick to their resolution because life gets in the way most of the time, but it's always important to not lose sight of goals.
This year set a goal to “exercise more” and “stay fit and healthy” I know many people always wish to achieve this year and it's not easy believe me, but we have to always start from somewhere, whether it's to set our minds on "30 mins walk" every day, at least we are doing something than just staying still and less active. I have come to learn that staying active is food for the soul, body, and mind.
With the state of the world today, there is no better time than now to choose Switching to a healthier diet which can be incredibly tricky because we are surrounded by cheap junk food. However, with determination, you can slowly develop healthier eating habits.
Learn to stop procrastinating, this is one of the biggest barriers that keep most people from reaching their goals, It makes us have the desire to relax and do something fun instead of working hard. Once you get used to procrastinating, it’s difficult to snap yourself out of it, so you’ll need to put in a lot of work to change this bad habit. It's not going to be easy but we have to set out minds to it, trust me I sometimes do this too, and there is so much distraction in the world today (social media Included). That is why I often take breaks from social media to detox and retune my energy and my mind to enable me to stay focused.
Lastly, don't forget your sense of humor -bring it with you into this year, no one knows what this year has in store and it's easy to be scared and anxious, but if we keep worrying about it, we will miss out on all the fun opportunities that lie in front of us. When we get stuck in a rut, we usually end up staying at home most of the time and this pandemic and restrictions have not really helped, many of us feel that we are missing out on a lot of interesting opportunities for networking and having fun, however thanks to modern technology there are safer ways of networking and getting to know people who probably have the same passion as we do, it just takes time, patience and investment in that connection.

What many lack lately is the ability to truly and genuinely get to know others and want to be friends without any selfish intention, The majority of people give to receive rather than give and let the universe reward them, but if you are lucky enough to meet that one or two people that really make your life shine brighter, cherish them don't push them away with your toxic and negative behavior, rather people must choose communication over conflict because one of the biggest cause of misunderstanding is miscommunication and many times instead of people to seek peace and truly understand why that certain person has chosen to act a certain way they are quick to jump to a conclusion.

I am afraid the world is not longer a place for procrastination or leaving things till the last minute, if you truly want to make good and positive connections you must be ready to be selfless too, Don't forget Play is an important source of relaxation and stimulation for adults. In addition, it can make you more creative and productive. Bring more play into your life by making it a New Year’s resolution, all work and no play ___ well you complete the rest.
I truly wish you all a Happy and Prosperous New Year Ahead.
 XO,
Linda.O.Bella
