Learning the art of Fall cocooning: How To Slow Down and Appreciate The Simplicity Of Life.

What is life? Shouldn't life be so easy and simple? why do we spend time complicating it for ourselves and each other? Why can't we all just get along, and spread more love and less hate in the world? These are the kinds of questions I ask myself daily, and each day I come up with different answers and definitions of what I think or feel life should be or look like. To me, life is a song, a beautiful song that soothes the soul yet it tests us every single day.

Spend time reading some of your favorite magical books this autumn
I am going to quote George Bernard Shaw and say that life is not about finding yourself, Life is about creating yourself. You won't start to comprehend the meaning of life until you design the life you want for yourself, make the space and surroundings that fit your energy and vibe, and live your life the way you want to live it rather than the way someone else wants you to live it.

Life is what happens when you are too busy planning other things and worrying about other people instead of yourself. Life is what happens when you are too busy gossiping, dwelling with toxic people, and being negative that you forget to appreciate the "now" and be thankful for what you have.

Dalai Lama once said "Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Sadly we live in a world where people don't hesitate to hurt each other, or plan to take one's life when they can't even create one. We live in a world full of hate, malice, negativity, hunger for fame, and power that people forget the fact that all those things don't follow you into your grave. This is why I love this season, Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go and hit the restart button.

I'm going to list some of my favorite quotes about autumn below, and I hope they will help you recognize and value life's beauty and simplicity, particularly in this autumn season. I also hope they will serve as a gentle reminder to slow down, take in the beauty all around you, and remember that nothing happens by force.

We all experience ups and downs, and not everyone enjoys sharing details of their personal lives on social media. If you're like me, though, you already know that I don't waste time worrying or looking for sympathy for things that didn't work out for me; instead, I use my passions to turn my sadness into happiness. For example, I might paint or make something custom, but that doesn't mean the problem goes away; it just means I won't let it get to me.

My personal selection of quotes and sayings about autumn;
“Autumn leaves don't fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.”
- Delia Owens, Where the Crawdads Sing

“The heat of autumn is different from the heat of summer. One ripens apples, the other turns them to cider.”
- Jane Hirshfield, The Heat of Autumn

"And all the lives we ever lived and all the lives to be are full of trees and changing leaves..."
- Virginia Woolf

"A wind has blown the rain away and blown the sky away and all the leaves away, and the trees stand. I think, I too, have known autumn too long."
- E.E. Cummings

"Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year."
- Chad Sugg

"Autumn is the hardest season. The leaves are all falling, and they’re falling like they’re falling in love with the ground."
- Andrea Gibson

“Notice that autumn is more the season of the soul than of nature.”
Friedrich Nietzsche

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
- L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

“I hope I can be the autumn leaf, who looked at the sky and lived. And when it was time to leave, gracefully it knew life was a gift.”
- Dodinsky

"I can smell autumn dancing in the breeze. The sweet chill of pumpkin, and crisp sunburnt leaves."
Ann Drake

Fall colors are funny. They’re so bright and intense and beautiful. It’s like nature is trying to fill you up with color, to saturate you so you can stockpile it before winter turns everything muted and dreary.”
– Siobhan Vivian.

“Autumn leaves are falling, filling up the streets; golden colors on the lawn, nature’s trick or treat!”
- Rusty Fischer

“I cannot endure to waste anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in the house.”
 – Nathaniel Hawthorne

Made a pretty corner in my bedroom -Inspired by Autumn
There are many more out there but these are some of my favorites. I sincerely hope that this post has served as a little reminder to you to slow down, appreciate the here and now, take deep breaths, and just be thankful for life. Keep in mind that whatever you send out into the world will return back to you. It is a known rule of the cosmos that positive vibes always come back to those who send them, and that negativity and hatred also eventually find their way back to those who send them.

Therefore, it's always good to remember back on your acts and deeds towards others the next time you harm someone else or harbor negative thoughts about doing so because, in the not-too-distant future, something unfortunate or unpleasant occurs to you trust me.

So just take advantage of this season to unwind , "cocoon", rejuvenate and retune yourself. Find pleasure in just sitting still ,curling up into your favourite sofa ,wrapped in a cozy and warm blanket , with a delicious cup of coffee or tea and watch a relaxing movie or series , one of my favourites is "The good witch" on Netflix, you should check it out.

Don't forget to share this post and please leave a comment if you resonate with it.
