Home Styling: Be faithful To Your Own Taste, Because Nothing You Really Like Is Ever Out Of Style.

Happy New Year my darlings, I could try to say it out loud jumping around on a trampoline or bouncing off walls but sadly that's not the case, The fight continues, the fight for the world to heal, for us to beat "Covid", for people to spread love and not hate, but above all else, we must first be grateful to even be alive today and try to be strong and optimistic, We must hope for a better future.

The past year took a lot of our energy, It put us through so much, I lost three people last year and it really got me down, but they won't want me to wallow in sadness or sluggishness, I have to try to be strong and positive for my loved ones. One thing that helps me stay focused and achieve Inner peace is (Meditation), I cut ties with a lot of toxic energies, and I distanced myself from anyone and anything that would trigger me, the way the world is today, the best therapy advice is (Minding your own business), looking after yourself because when you are happy, you can make sure others around you are happy because Happiness starts with you.

One thing that helps me cope is looking at beautiful and inspirational pictures, and pages, and putting my creativity to good use, I also do a lot of deep cleansing and deep thinking on which way forward, the picture below is a canvas I customized a few years ago and it still helps lift my mood, Helps me appreciate the beauty around me, helps me enjoy & Value the little things.

There is so much emotion behind this picture - Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time, but this time "I found myself". You have to focus on only things you love during this period, you have to do all you can to stay happy, positive, strong, focused, and optimistic even though things in the world and around you will try to trigger you, once your mental health is in good shape you will bounce back easily.
When it comes to managing stress and preventing feeling overwhelmed with unexplainable feelings, we often overlook one of the simplest and best strategies and that's to make your home more peaceful. You must know that your home matters, It's your safe haven and your life revolves around it. This is why it’s so important to make your home your sanctuary and surround it with beautiful objects and vibes.
When you pay attention to your home and surrounding you will notice these things - Improved mood and positive attitude, less stress and more peace, Better focus and less distraction, More peace amongst family members, Greater opportunities for hospitality, Increased contentment and happiness.
Your home is incredibly personal. It should reflect who YOU are and your personal style. To make your home more peaceful you have to use decor and color schemes that make you feel the most comfortable at home, I have always mentioned the fact that you want to feel relaxed and happy to be there. When you walk into your home, you want to feel like it’s a breath of fresh air.
The items in your home should have a purpose or they quickly become clutter. Clutter has an effect on everyone. The flat surfaces in our homes tend to accumulate clutter quickly. Make it a habit to De-Clutter frequently, it keeps the home looking peaceful, calm and Lovely.
Clutter is often in the same sentence as feng shui, but we’d say that feng shui is less about de-cluttering and more about creating space. Feng Shui is the process of organising your environment to attract optimal success. Always keep in mind that the strongest factor of your Feng Shui is you, Feng Shui is all about the subconscious interaction between planetary and mental energies.
When we throw out the physical clutter, we clear our minds. When we throw out the mental clutter, we clear our souls.
“As you breathe in, cherish yourself. As you breathe out, cherish all beings.” – Dalai Lama
Our homes are where we can showcase our creativity, feed our family, foster better bonds with family members and friends, and relax from the chaos of the world. It;'s where we start and end our days, and creating a peaceful home will ensure a happier life. While putting together a more peaceful and positive home might take some time to identify the things you will have to incorporate in your home to provide a more tranquil environment, the benefits will be worth the time you take to decide the right decors for your home and surrounding.

Lifestyle: How To Maintain A Tranquil and Peaceful Vibe Around You.

It has been a little while since I last wrote anything. I guess I am not one of those bloggers who just write for the sake of writing; instead, I like to give everything I do careful consideration and gather all relevant information before I write a post. I wait for inspiration before writing a post, and if it doesn't strike, I put my attention on other tasks until I do.

Lifestyle: How Photography Got Me Through Some Of My Most Stressful Days .

It's been a while guys and I do apologize, thankfully most of you know how hard it is to multitask and juggle so much, but I always say we each have to find a way to cope, no matter what it is you do make sure it's something that keeps you positive, optimistic and ready to seize the day.
Strange as it may be to some - I have discovered that photography helps me stay calm and distracted.
Photography has been my go-to medication lol, I even decided to give in to my cravings for darker aesthetics and I realised I was enjoying it more and more, every time I set up a little section for photos and take the picture with the darker filter, etc it gave me this satisfaction (Its like watching ASMR videos) that satisfaction you get.

Photography is the story I fail to put into words, In photography, there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. To me, Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever, It remembers the little things, long after you have forgotten everything that is why when taking a photo appreciate and enjoy that moment.
Many people think it's just a simple act when one brings out a camera to take pictures. Photography for me is not looking, it’s feeling. If you can’t feel what you’re looking at, then you’re never going to get others to feel anything when they look at your pictures.
Like this lovely quote i love from The Late Karl Lagerfeld - What I like about photographs is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce.”
You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved, the things have seen around you, the feelings you have felt on a deeper level and you bring all that into one photo (That is magic-Trust Me). This is how I cope when it all gets too much and overwhelming, I just whip out my old school camera and take photos of anything that inspires me or has a meaning to me.
No one know tomorrow or how long this pandemic, lockdown and phase will be but if we don't all start finding ways to soothe our minds and anxiety.
This was just meant to be a short post so you all know I am still here, I have not abandoned my readers, it's just I am trying to Mix n Match and Merge other projects together and it's time consuming.

Interior Living: Use Feng Shui in Your Home To Boost The Positive Energy.

Take a good look at your daily path through your home. Yes! I am saying you should literally look at the physical path you walk as you move through your home. From when you wake up and arise from bed, then to the bathroom, and so on as you head out the door. Then from when you get home, make dinner, and end back in bed. Make sure there is a free flow of energy.

Interior Styling: Simple Ways To Style Your Home And Create Beautiful Vibes Around You.

The easiest way to create a designer look in your home is to add personality using home accessories- for example- Vases, Figures, Coffeetable books, Unique Luxury Items. The great thing I love about accessories like these is that you can change them with the seasons.
When styling your home, It's always good to mix textures and materials in your home to create depth and contrast, and when it comes to colour, be mindful of the shades you use if you want to achieve that high-end look. For Example - If you like magenta, add a pop of the colour here and there, don't paint the whole house with it, when you overdo it your home ends up looking a mess, but the home should feel comfortable, loving and welcoming, so always keep that fact in mind when styling your home. Another thing I love to see in the home is "Mirrors". Mirrors make a huge difference when styling the home. Brighten and amplify the light in a room with mirrors on walls opposing light sources. I love mirrors because they double the visual square footage of any room. Hang a series of three or four mirrors opposite a window to reflect the incoming light as well as the view. When it comes to updating your interiors, place a mirror on your largest wall to reflect as much light as possible back into the room, I love looking at mirrors in the home but not for vanity reasons, but to remind myself to be grateful and to live life in the moment while enjoying the little things. Adding a touch of luxury to each room is my number one tip when it comes to getting that designer look. Glitters and metallics add a little bling and work well in smaller rooms as features will reflect off them, giving the illusion of a bigger space. Don't forget to play around with lights, candles, fairy lights, Lamps etc, I love using these once in a while because they help set the right mood, add dimmers on all of your lights. Bright isn’t always right. Lightings like - table lamps, chandeliers, candles, battery-powered lights ― bring a lot of style into a room!  I am very spiritual so I like to meditate a lot or just sit and admire the stars at night, and When I am unable to do this, I create a magical environment in my bedroom or study room. I love how lights and lamps make the room glow, you would feel like you are in another dimension, just forgetting about the worries and spending time in the moment is the best feeling, It's not normally easy especially during this period , but we must try to do everything to stay sane. Lastly,  Remember  "Less Is More". The term "less is more" means that having less of something makes a stronger and more enjoyable experience in the home. Strong colours and patterns, though sometimes amazing but can create a better effect when used sparingly in interior design, than when people cramp things up together in one place. The same rule also applies for mixing styles of furniture. I am always happy to read or hear your opinions and tips either via Email or In the Comment Section. Don't forget to share, Have a lovely week ahead.
